2010 Freestyle World Cup at Deer Valley – Sundance and Snow
The first three day ski weekend of the 2010 year is almost here and we’ve got the snow to prove it. Last night we got a light dusting with more coming this morning and throughout the day. We are gearing up for the Freestyle World Cup events taking place at Deer Valley as well. It’s one of the last stops on the tour before the selection of the Olympic team, which will happen at the end of the month.
The World Cup kicks off today with mogul competitions then you can head down to Main Street and listen to The Bravery play a free concert. All events are free and open to the public so go out see our Olympic hopefuls compete for gold and a spot in Vancouver.
As we head into the long weekend, we expect to be getting more snow on Su
nday through much of next week. That means coverage at Deer Valley, Park City and The Canyons should be perfect for Sundance. While Sundance is great time to watch for Hollywood stars cruising Main Street, its an even better time to ski. The lines are short and the mountains are wide open. So when you’re looking to rent ski equipment and accessories or snowboards and have them delivered to your door in Deer Valley, Park City or the Canyons, be sure to call Skis on the Run (435) 940-0744.
So whether you want to charge down 99/90 at the top of The Canyons or you just want start your apres ski with a Noon cocktail by the fireplace at the Empire Lodge in Deer Valley, the mountains should have plenty of new snow and fresh tracks for you to make.
You can take in some movies and still have time to hit the social scene at various hotspots on Main Street like the Downstairs and the Spur.
We’ll keep you posted on any interesting movies we see and personalities we cross paths with while cruising Main Street in the next week.
